Project Brief

Often times a client comes to us with a vision for a project but doesn’t exactly know how to make it a reality. The process involves putting their vision on paper, figuring out a realistic budget, finding funding sources and gaining approval from other stakeholders. The Pekin Airport Terminal is a great example of how our firm can help clients successfully navigate that process. This is the third project that we’ve worked on with the City owned airport and truly the one that will have the most visual impact on the small municipal airport. The outdated terminal, airport office and pilot’s lounge are in need of updating from a space, finishes, and technology perspective. The airport recently gained recognition from the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Division of Aeronautics as the 2020 Illinois General Aviation Airport of the Year and the airport Manager wants to keep the momentum going.
